January Roundtable Meeting

January 13 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The next Rio Grande Basin Roundtable Meeting will be held on January 13th, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Rio Grande Water Conservation District office.
In 2026, the Rio Grande Basin Roundtable will be hosting a series of discussions to help inform the CWCB’s No & Low Regrets Strategy. This statewide effort aims to shape a long‑term vision for Colorado’s water future by identifying the challenges and opportunities we anticipate over the next 10–15 years.

These discussions will be critically important for our Basin. I strongly encourage each of you to participate, as the input we provide will influence how our community prepares for and responds to future water needs. This is a pivotal moment for the Rio Grande Basin to define our priorities and identify opportunities that support a resilient water future—one that protects our water sources, agriculture, the environment, and recreation.

Please also consider inviting others who should be part of this conversation, especially those we may not typically see at our monthly meetings. We want these discussions to reflect the full diversity of the Rio Grande Basin water community.

To help with your planning, you’ll find below the dates of each discussion along with the topic we’ll be focusing on.

Schedule for No & Low Regrets discussions at the Rio Grande Basin Roundtable meetings for the 2026 year are as follows:
January 13, 2026 – Water Storage and Protecting Colorado Agriculture
April 14, 2026 – Environmental, Recreation and Watershed Health
August 11, 2026 – Urban and Land Use Planning, Legislative Concepts, and Regulatory
